Inspections, Inspections and More Inspections

While a stick-built home may have one or two inspections during the build, a Sound & Shore Builders goes through 300 quality inspections and third party inspections to ensure the highest level of quality through the entire construction process.

Because our homes need to be moved to the site, they are engineered to a higher standard of strength than stick-built homes. This makes our homes more durable against the adverse effects of Mother Nature.

In a typical site-built home there are 8,000 pounds of waste that end up in a landfill from a 2,000 sq.ft. home. Building homes in a factory setting greatly reduces waste because materials and resources are recycled. Materials are not used on only one project, left over lumber and supplies can be saved and reused in the next home.

The home itself is also more energy efficient. The attention to detail and strength reduces gaps and drafts that can occur; drywall panels are nailed and glued during the build.
